I got your text.

I'm dropping our 8 year old off at a birthday party for Lydia and Rebekah.
(the twins from his class at school)
They are bowling and having a pizza party-
Sam can't be there, he has been sick all week.
Our son is going to be a great friend and be the only boy at the party.
oh, I almost forgot-
He won the spelling bee. He has some very good friends at school. The girl he beat went to another room while we were waiting and made a "victory hat" for him.
Wait a sec, I'll pull up the picture. Here-
To cute. Talk about good sportsmanlike conduct!
I was impressed and so was our son. The first thing he said as she handed it off to him was,
"who made this?"
She replied, "my brother and I."
Her brother is in 4th grade.
Sweet kids.

Okay, back to 4 o'clock. She waited in the car watching Richard Scarry Busy Town as I ran into the bowling alley. She was fine when I left but within 2 minutes our oldest was texting me to get back to the car. She decided she really wanted to come in with me after all. She was crying crocodile tears. :(
He happily stayed and intently watched the movie. I love that movie.  Our oldest did too when he was 3.

Okay,
I got your text and it is going to be a late one.
The kids and I will eat pizza.

I will make you an omelet when you get home.

Love,
Me
